In this example we look at a cold store with 650 kWp of solar panels and a 1,200 kWh battery. The figures are an example; for your own site we calculate with your own quarter-hour data.

Source of benefitPer year (example)
Day-ahead and intraday trading€26,000
Imbalance€15,000
aFRR/FCR balancing services€12,000
Peak shaving€12,600
Solar self-consumption and avoided negative prices€7,600

Two scenarios

Market prices fluctuate. That's why we always calculate with a cautious scenario and a base scenario. In this example the payback time is between six and seven years.
